The Damages (Asbestos-related Conditions) (Scotland) Act 2009 (Commencement) Order 2009

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the Damages (Asbestos related Conditions) (Scotland) Act 20091.

Citation1.

This Order may be cited as the Damages (Asbestos related Conditions) (Scotland) Act 2009 (Commencement) Order 2009.

Commencement2.

The appointed day for the Damages (Asbestos related Conditions) (Scotland) Act 2009 coming into force is 17th June 2009.

This Order brings into force the Damages (Asbestos related Conditions) (Scotland) Act 2009.

This Act will provide that certain asbestos-related conditions are actionable personal injuries; and will provide for connected purposes.
