Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52(1) and 60(1)(e) and (1A) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 19811 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

In accordance with section 61(2) of that Act2, they have consulted with such representative organisations as they think fit.

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2008 and come into force on 15th September 2008.

Amendment of the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Regulations 20012

In regulation 13(1)(b) and (2)(b) of the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Regulations 20013 for “£54” substitute “£57”.

These Regulations increase the fees for the registration of, or the variation of the registration of, a local bus service, other than a community bus service. The fee is increased from £54 to £57 (an increase of 5.6%). The fees were last increased on 1st April 2007.
