The Public Transport Users' Committee for Scotland Amendment Order 2008

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Transport Users' Committee for Scotland Amendment Order 2008 and comes into force on 1st July 2008.

Amendment of the Public Transport Users' Committee for Scotland Order 2006

2.  Article 6 (constitution and membership of the committee) of the Public Transport Users' Committee for Scotland Order 2006(1) is amended as follows–

(a) for paragraph (1)(b) substitute–

“(b) at least 9, but not more than 14, other members,”; and

(b) after paragraph (1) insert–

“(1A) At least 3 members of the Committee shall be disabled persons.

(1B) In paragraph (1A) “disabled person” has the same meaning as given by section 1(2) of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995(2).”.
