Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 27(1) and (2), 69(1) and (2), 75A, 105(7) and 108(1) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 19781 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Charges for Drugs and Appliances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2008 and come into force on 1st April 2008.

In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the National Health Service (Charges for Drugs and Appliances) (Scotland) Regulations 20082.
Amendment of the principal Regulations2

The principal Regulations are amended as follows.

In regulation 2(1) (interpretation), in the definition of “Scottish prescription form”, at paragraphs (a)(i)(cc) and (b)(ii), after “pilot” insert “scheme”.

In regulation 8(1) (pre-payment certificates), for “entitlement certificate” substitute “entitlement card”.

In regulation 8(11), omit “by” where it first appears.

In regulation 9(5) (entitlement cards), after paragraph (a) insert–

where it appears after “may require,”, “paragraph (1)(b)(ii)” shall read as “paragraph (1)(b)(i)”; and

For paragraph 2(3)(a) of Schedule 3 (consequential amendments) substitute–

for “specified in regulation 3(1)(b)” substitute “referred to in regulation 3(1)(b)(ii)”;
