The Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007

Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52(1) and 60(1)(e) and (1A) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 19811 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of that Act, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st April 2007.

Amendment of the principal Regulations2.

(1)

The Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Regulations 20012 are amended in accordance with this regulation.

(2)

In regulation 13(1)(a) and (2)(a) for “£11” substitute “£12”.

(3)

In regulation 13(1)(b) and (2)(b) for “£51” substitute “£54”.

Revocations3.

The following Regulations–

(a)

the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 20023;

(b)

the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 20044; and

(c)

the Public Service Vehicles (Registration of Local Services) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 20055,

are revoked.

These Regulations increase the fees for the registration of, or the variation of the registration of, a community bus service, other than a service supplied under an agreement providing for service subsidies, from £11 to £12 (an increase of 9.1%). The fees were last increased on 1st November 2004.

These Regulations also increase the fees for the registration of, or the variation of the registration of, a local bus service, other than a community bus service. The fee is increased from £51 to £54 (an increase of 5.9%). The fees were last increased on 29th August 2005.

Regulation 3 revokes previous instruments which increased fees.
