<Text>The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 66(1), 68(1) and (1A), 69(1) and (3), 70(1), 71(1), 74(1), 74A, 79(1), (2) and (9) and 84 of the Agriculture Act 1970<FootnoteRef Ref="f00001"/> and all other powers enabling them to do so.</Text>

<Text>These Regulations make further amendments to the Feeding Stuffs (Scotland) Regulations 2005 (“the Feeding Stuffs Regulations”).</Text>
</P>
<P>
<Text>These Regulations provide for the implementation of Commission Directive <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/european/directive/2006/0077" id="c00002" Class="EuropeanUnionDirective" Year="2006" Number="77">2006/77/EC</Citation> amending Annex I to Directive <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/european/directive/2002/0032" id="c00003" Class="EuropeanUnionDirective" Year="2002" Number="32">2002/32/EC</Citation> of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards organochlorine compounds in animal feed (O.J. No. L 271, 30.9.2006, p.53).</Text>
</P>
<P><Text>The Regulations amend Chapter D of Schedule 5 to the Feeding Stuffs Regulations, principally by–</Text>

<Pnumber>a</Pnumber>

<Text>setting new limits in relation to aldrin and dieldrin:</Text>
</P3para>
</P3>
<P3>
<Pnumber>b</Pnumber>
<P3para>
<Text>setting new limits in relation to endosulphan in crude vegetable oil; and</Text>
</P3para>
</P3>
<P3>
<Pnumber>c</Pnumber>
<P3para>
<Text>replacing the term “fats” by the term “fats and oils” (regulation 2(3) and Schedule 1).</Text>

</P3>

<Text>The Regulations also correct an omission in Schedule 6 and a typographical error in Schedule 3 of the Feeding Stuffs Regulations (regulations 2(2) and (4) and Schedule 2).</Text>

<Text>A full regulatory impact assessment, which includes a compliance cost assessment of the effect which these Regulations will have on business costs, has been prepared and placed in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre.
