regarding the labelling of beef products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No. 820/97;Commission Regulation (EC) No. 911/2004 implementing Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards ear tags,

passports and holding registers; andCommission Regulation (EC) No. 644/2005 authorising a special identification system for bovine animals kept for cultural and historical purposes on approved

premises as provided for in Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council.</dc:description>

Section 2(2) was amended by the <Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1998/46" id="c00085" Year="1998" Class="UnitedKingdomPublicGeneralAct" Number="46" Title="Scotland Act 1998">Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46)</Citation>, <CitationSubRef id="c00086" URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1998/46/schedule/8" Operative="true" CitationRef="c00085" SectionRef="schedule-8">Schedule 8</CitationSubRef>, <CitationSubRef id="c00087" URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1998/46/paragraph/15/3" CitationRef="c00085" SectionRef="paragraph-15-3">paragraph 15(3)</CitationSubRef>. The functions conferred upon the Minister of the Crown under section 2(2) of the 1972 Act, in so far as within devolved competence, were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998.</Text></Para></Commentary><Commentary id="c18305491" Type="M"><Para><Text><Citation URI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1973/51" id="c00088" Year="1973" Class="UnitedKingdomPublicGeneralAct" Number="51">1973 c. 51</Citation>.
