The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the power conferred by section 54(2) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005(1), hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2007.
2. Section 49 (badges for vehicles used for disabled people: change of terminology) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 shall come into force on 1st April 2007.

This Order brings into force section 49 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the Act”) on 1st April 2007. Section 49 provides for a change in terminology in the legislation relating to badges for vehicles used for disabled people.
The Act received Royal Assent on 5th August 2005. Sections 52 and 54 came into force on Royal Assent.
The provisions of the Act remaining to be commenced after the making of this Order are sections 18 to 39 and schedules 3 to 7 all of which relate to road works.
