The Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(2) of the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005(1) hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 Commencement Order 2006.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 is 13th February 2006.

This Order appoints 13th February 2006 as the day on which the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 will come into force.
