The M77 (Malletsheugh) (Speed Limit) (Scotland) Regulations 2005

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 2
The Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841 all other powers enabling them in that behalf, having consulted such representative organisations as thought fit in accordance with section 134(2) of that Act2, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation1.

(1)

These Regulations may be cited as The M77 (Malletsheugh) (Speed Limit) (Scotland) Regulations 2005.

(2)

The special road referred to in regulation 1(1) above is the special road authorised to be provided by the M77 Special Road (Floak to Malletsheugh) Special Road Scheme 19993.

Commencement2.

These Regulations shall come into force on the date declared by the Scottish Ministers as traffic authority4, in accordance with the Special Roads (Notice of Opening) (Scotland) Regulations 19645, to be the date on which the special road specified in regulation 1(2) above is open for use as a special road.

Restrictions of Speed3.

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 60mph on the length of special road described in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Regulation 3

That length of the M77 Special Road from a point 4.15 km or thereby south of the City of Glasgow Boundary in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 1.2 km or thereby.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations impose a speed limit of 60mph on the special road authorised to be provided by the M77 Special Road (Floak to Malletsheugh) Special Road Scheme 1999.
