The School Education (Ministerial Powers and Independent Schools) (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 2 and Transitional Provisions) Order 2005 No. 570 (C. 29)

Appointed day for commencement of Part 2 and Part 3 of, and schedules 1 and 2 to, the Act

2.  Subject to article 3(2), the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act is 31st December 2005–

(a) Part 2;

(b) Part 3 (so far as not already in force)(1);

(c) schedule 1 (so far as not already in force)(2); and

(d) schedule 2.

Section 8(1) of Part 3 was brought partially into force on 31st January 2005 by the School Education (Ministerial Powers and Independent Schools) (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005 (S.S.I. 2005/10).

Paragraphs 1(8)(b), 1(8)(c) and 2 of Schedule 1 were brought into force on 31st January 2005 by S.S.I. 2005/10.
