The Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 2005

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 48(5) and 51(4) of the Gaming Act 19681, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation, commencement and extent1

This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 4th July 2005.

This Order extends to Scotland only.

Variation of fees2

The provisions of section 48 of the Gaming Act 1968 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to fees charged in relation to the matters mentioned in column 2 of that Schedule) shall have effect as if, for the references to the sums specified in those provisions (which by virtue of the Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 20032 had effect immediately before the coming into force of this Order as if, for those references, there were substituted references to the sums specified in column 3 of that Schedule), there were substituted references to the sums specified in column 4 of that Schedule.

Revocation3

The Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 2003 is hereby revoked.

This Order, which extends to Scotland only, increases the fees to be charged in relation to the grant, renewal and transfer of gaming licences in Scotland under the Gaming Act 1968 (article 2 and the Schedule).
