The last increase was effected by the Act of Sederunt (Fees of Shorthand Writers in the Sheriff Court) (Amendment) 2003 (S.S.I. 2003/246). 2004 No. 149 SHERIFF COURT Act of Sederunt (Fees of Shorthand Writers in the Sheriff Court) (Amendment) 2004 Made 26th March 2004 Laid before Parliament 26th March 2004 Coming into force 4th May 2004 The Lords of Council and Session, under and by virtue of the powers conferred upon them by section 40 of the Sheriff Courts (Scotland) Act 1907 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, do hereby enact and declare: Citation and commencement 1 1 This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Fees of Shorthand Writers in the Sheriff Court) (Amendment) 2004 and shall come into force on 4th May 2004. 2 This Act of Sederunt shall be inserted in the Books of Sederunt. Increase in fees of shorthand writers 2 1 The Table of Fees set out in the Act of Sederunt (Fees of Witnesses and Shorthand Writers in the Sheriff Court) 1992 shall be amended in accordance with the following sub-paragraph. 2 In Schedule 2 (shorthand writers' fees)– a in paragraph 1 (attendance), for the amounts of £30.53 and £122.09 there shall be substituted the amounts of £31.51 and £126.00 respectively; b in paragraph 4 (transcripts), for the amounts of £5.00 and £6.12 there shall be substituted the amounts of £5.16 and £6.32 respectively; and c in paragraph 5 (copies), for the amount of £0.41 there shall be substituted the amount of £0.42. Saving 3 Paragraph 2 of this Act of Sederunt shall not affect fees chargeable for work done, or outlays incurred, before 4th May 2004. Cullen of Whitekirk Lord President, I.P.D.

This Act of Sederunt does not apply to fees chargeable for work done before it comes into force.
