Citation1.
This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2003.
Commencement2.
The day appointed for the coming into force of–
(a)
sections 4(e) and 11 to 14;
(b)
section 17, in so far as it relates to the provisions in schedule 4 specified in paragraph (d);
(c)
the definitions of “the 1980 Act” and “the 1990 Act” in section 20; and
(d)
paragraphs 1, 3(b), 4(e), 7, 9, 12, 15(b) and 17(b)(iii) of schedule 4,
of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 is 15th August 2003.

This Order brings into force on 15th August 2003 certain provisions of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 which relate to the dissolution of the Scottish Conveyancing and Executry Services Board (“the Board”). These include provisions relating to the transfer of functions from the Board to the Law Society of Scotland and the Scottish Solicitors' Discipline Tribunal and conferring on conveyancing and executry practitioners certain notarial and other functions.
The following provisions of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 have been brought into force by commencement order made before the date of this Order:–
