These Regulations, which apply to Scotland only, amend the Common Agricultural Policy (Wine) (Scotland) Regulations 2002 (S.S.I. 2002/325) which provide for the enforcement of EC Regulations concerned with the production and marketing of wine and related products.
The Regulations–
expand the definition of “wine-sector product” to include aromatized wine and amend the definition of “the Wine Standards Board” to reflect its new name (regulation 3);
add regulations 6A and 6B which impose time limits for the notification of declarations and enrichment (regulation 4);
amend regulation 8 to clarify the circumstances when the movement of any wine sector product may be prohibited (regulation 5);
correct an erroneous reference in regulation 11(2) (regulation 6); and
replace Schedule 6 and make various changes to Schedule 9 to take account of recent changes in EC legislation (regulations 7 and 8).
No Regulatory Impact Assessment has been prepared in respect of these Regulations.
