The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124 of, and paragraphs 21, 22(1)(d), and 25 of Part III of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841 (“the 1984 Act”), as read with section 22 of the 1984 Act and section 21(1)(b) of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 19702 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 134(2) of the 1984 Act, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Exemptions for Disabled Persons) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 15th January 2003.

Amendment of the 2002 Regulations2.

The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Exemptions for Disabled Persons) (Scotland) Regulations 20023 shall be amended as follows:–

(a)

In regulation 6 the number “6,” where it appears after “under section 1,” shall be omitted;

(b)

In regulation 7 the number “6,” where it appears after “under section 1,” shall be omitted.

These Regulations, amend the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Exemptions for Disabled Persons) (Scotland) Regulations 2002 by omitting the references contained in regulations 6 and 7 to section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
