This Order makes an amendment to the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Declaratory (Controlled Area) (Scotland) (No. 3) Order 2001 (“the Controlled Area Order”) with effect from 11th February 2002 to remove the requirement that vehicles moving animals from premises to slaughter be cleansed and disinfected before moving the vehicle from those premises.
The Order, with effect from 18th February 2002, revokes all controlled area restrictions remaining in Scotland which were imposed under the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Order 1983 in consequence of foot-and-mouth disease, as set out in Schedule 3.
