Water Customer Consultation Panels (Scotland) Order 2002

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1), (2) and 68(2) of the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 20021 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Water Customer Consultation Panels (Scotland) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 20th November 2002.

(2)

In this Order–

“the Convener” means the Convener of the Water Customer Consultation Panels2; and
“local government area” shall be construed in accordance with section 1(2) of and Part I of Schedule 1 to the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 19943.

Water Customer Consultation Panels2.

Each Water Customer Consultation Panel named in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Order is hereby established for the area comprised of the local government areas described in the corresponding entry in Column 2 and shall have, in addition to the Convener, the number of members specified in the corresponding entry in Column 3.

This Order establishes panels of individuals to be known as Water Customer Consultation Panels, pursuant to section 2(1) of the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002.

Customer Panels are established in respect of each of the areas named in Column 1 of the Schedule to the Order. Those areas comprise the areas described in the corresponding entry in Column 2 of the Schedule and each Panel will have, in addition to the Convener, the number of members specified in the corresponding entry in Column 3 of the Schedule.
