The Scottish Secure Tenancies (Exceptions) Amendment Regulations 2002

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 109(2) of, and paragraph 3(2) of schedule 1 to, the Housing (Scotland) Act 20011 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Scottish Secure Tenancies (Exceptions) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 30th September 2002.

Amendment of Regulations2

The Scottish Secure Tenancies (Exceptions) Regulations 20022 are amended in accordance with these Regulations.

For paragraphs (b) and (c) of regulation 2, substitute–

b

any institution within the higher education sector within the meaning of section 56(2) of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 19923;

c

any institution which provides further education within the meaning of section 135(1) of the Education (Scotland) Act 19804;

These Regulations amend the Scottish Secure Tenancies (Exceptions) Regulations 2002 by replacing the descriptions of certain institutions for the provision of higher education and further education.
