This Order, amends, with effect from 1st October 2002, the sum specified as the amount or maximum amount payable under certain statutory provisions for a certificate of birth, death or marriage issued for the purposes of certain Acts. The sum specified as the amount or maximum amount payable is increased as at that date from £8.00 to £8.50. The Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Scotland) Order 1997 is revoked. The Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Scotland) Order 2002OrderThe Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Scotland) Order 2009art. 3art. 1(1) 2002 No. 389 Made 26th August 2002 Laid before the Scottish Parliament 28th August 2002 Coming into force 1st October 2002 The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1) and (2) of, and paragraph 1(b) of Schedule 3 to, the Public Expenditure and Receipts Act 1968 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order: 1968 c. 14; Paragraph 1(b) of Schedule 3 was amended by section 4 of and paragraph 5 of Schedule 2 to the Social Security (Consequential Provisions) Act 1992 (c. 6) and by section 136(2) of and paragraph 4 of Schedule 4 to the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 (c. 44). There have been other amendments to it which are not relevant to this Order. The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).
