The Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2002

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 19951 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 21st September 2002.

Amendment of the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 19982

Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 19982 shall be amended by inserting in that Part the following names in the appropriate places in alphabetical order:–

  • “Harlaw Park, Inverurie”; and

  • “Raydale Park, Gretna”.

This Order amends the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 1998 (S.I.1998/2314) which designates the sports grounds, the classes of sporting events played at those grounds and the classes of sporting events outside Great Britain for the purposes of Part II of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995 (c. 39). As a result of the amendment, Harlaw Park, Inverurie and Raydale Park, Gretna, become designated sports grounds.
