Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Amendment (No. 2) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 29th March 2002.

Amendment of the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 20022.

Regulation 1(2) of the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 20022 is omitted.

These Regulations amend the Import and Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No. 3) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2002 (“the principal Regulations”).

They continue in force the provisions of the principal Regulations, which amend the Meat Products (Hygiene) Regulations 1994, the Fresh Meat (Hygiene and Inspection) Regulations 1995 and the Minced Meat and Meat Preparations (Hygiene) Regulations 1995, in order to continue to implement Commission Decision 2001/304/EC on marking and use of certain animal products in relation to Decision 2001/172/EC concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, as amended by Commission Decision 2001/345/EC and Commission Decision 2002/49/EC.
