1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on 16th December 2001.
(2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.
2. The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Regulations 1997(1) are amended as follows.
3. In regulation 4–
(a)in paragraph (1), for “2003” there shall be substituted “2004”; and
(b)in paragraph (2), for “2002” there shall be substituted “2004”.
4. In regulation 6–
(a)in paragraph (1), for “1st April 2003” there shall be substituted “1st April 2004”;
(b)in paragraph (2), for “1st April 2002 to 30th September 2002” there shall be substituted “1st April 2003 to 30th September 2003”; and
(c)in paragraph (3), for “1st October 2002 to 31st March 2003” there shall be substituted “1st October 2003 to 31st March 2004”.
5. In column 2 of Schedule 6, for each date there shall be substituted “31st December 2003”.
6. The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000(2) and the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2001(3) are hereby revoked.
