The Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001
Citation1.
This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2001.
Commencement of provisions2.
(1)
The following provisions of the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 shall come into force on 1st October 2001:–
(a)
sections 5(1) and (2), 6, 24(1), 29, 30, 53 to 55, 63 to 65, 67 and 71;
(b)
section 79, so far as relating to the provisions in Schedule 3 specified in paragraph (d) below;
(c)
in section 80, subsections (3) and (4); and
(d)
in schedule 3, paragraphs 20 and 23(7).
(2)
Section 70 of the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 shall come into force on 20th December 2001.

This Order brings into force on 1st October, and 20th December, 2001 certain provisions of the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001. That Act (other than the provisions already commenced by section 81(2) of the Act) falls to be brought into force by Commencement Order and this is the first such Order.
The provisions commenced by this Order are listed in article 2.
