Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18(1), (4) and (11) of the Agriculture Act 19861 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Stewartry) Designation Amendment Order 2001 and shall come into force on 8th March 2001.
Amendment of the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Stewartry) Designation Order 19932.
In paragraph 10(b)(vi) of the Schedule to the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Stewartry) Designation Order 19932 there shall be inserted after the words “and ponds” the words “and measures to create dykes, hedges and ponds, in each case”.

This Order amends the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Stewartry) Designation Order 1993 by allowing the farmer within the meaning of that Order to take measures to create dykes, hedges and ponds as well as restore existing dykes, hedges and ponds.
