The Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) (Declaratory Orders) General Amendment (No. 2) Order 2001

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 17(1) of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Order 19831 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) (Declaratory Orders) General Amendment (No. 2) Order 2001 and shall come into force at 5.00 p.m. on 2nd July 2001.

Amendment of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Declaratory (Scotland) Orders 20012.

The Orders referred to in paragraph (2) are amended in accordance with paragraph (3) of this article.

The Orders referred to in paragraph (1) are–

(a)

the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 5) Order 20012;

(b)

the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 6) Order 20013; and

(c)

the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 7) Order 20014.

In paragraph 2(d) of Schedule 2, for “a veterinary inspector” substitute “an inspector”.

This Order provides that licences for movement of animals direct to approved slaughterhouses out of the infected areas designated by the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 5) Order 2001, the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 6) Order 2001 and the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Scotland) Declaratory (No. 7) Order 2001 which may be issued by a veterinary inspector, may also be issued by an inspector appointed by the Scottish Ministers or by a local authority.
