Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions)(Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No. 2) (Scotland) PartialRevocation (No. 5) Order 2000 and shall come into force at 1730 hours on29th November 2000.

Interpretation2.

In this Order “the principal Order” means the Food Protection(Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No. 2)(Scotland) Order 2000

Partial Revocation of the principal Order3.

The principal Order is revoked insofar as it designates–

(a)

any part of Areas A, B, C, D and E described in the Schedule to thisOrder being areas within Area 1 described in the Schedule to the principalOrder; and

(b)

any part of Area 2 described in the Schedule to the principal Order.

This Order is the fifth partial revocation of the Food Protection(Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No. 2)(Scotland) Order 2000 (S.S.I. 2000/291) (“the principal Order”) whichprohibited–

(a)

fishing for or taking scallops within the areas designated in theSchedule to that Order (article 4 of the principal Order);

(b)

movement of such scallops out of these areas (article 5 of theprincipal Order); and

(c)

landing, using in the preparation or processing for supply of food of,supplying and other specified activities in relation to, such scallops fromthe designated areas (article 6 of the principal Order).

The effect of this Order is to remove the prohibitions in respect ofthe areas of sea designated in the Schedule to this Order, which form partof the area of sea designated as Area 1 in the Schedule to the principalOrder, and to remove the prohibitions in respect of the area of seadesignated as Area 2 in the Schedule to the principal Order.
