Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 19701 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 21(7E) of that Act, hereby make the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement and extent1

These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st July 2000.

These Regulations extend to Scotland only.
Interpretation2
In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Regulations 20002.
Amendment of the principal Regulations3
In regulation 2 (interpretation) of the principal Regulations–
a
in paragraph (1) in the definition of “disabled person’s badge” after “means” there shall be inserted, “, subject to paragraph (1A),”; and
b
after paragraph (1) there shall be inserted–

For the purposes of regulations 12 to 16, the definition of “disabled person’s badge” in paragraph (1) shall include a badge issued under Regulations having effect in England or Wales under section 21 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.
