The Erskine Bridge (Temporary Suspension of Tolls) Order 1999

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Erskine Bridge (Temporary Suspension ofTolls) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 16th October 1999.

(2) In this Order, “the Principal Order” means the Erskine BridgeTolls Order 1992(1).

Provision

2.  The tolls leviable in accordance with the Principal Order shall besuspended, during the period beginning on 16th October 1999 and ending on15th April 2001, at any time, between 1800 hours on a Saturday and 0700hours on the next following Monday–

(a)where the use by any person of a vehicle on all of the lengths of roadspecified in the Schedule to this Order is prohibited for a period of nofewer than 12 hours by virtue of an Order made under section 14(1)(a) ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(2); and

(b)within one hour before, or one hour after, any such period of suchprohibition.
