Coming into operation
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs make these regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 4 of and paragraphs 11 and 20 of Schedule 1 to, the Environment (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 (“the 2002 Order”)1 and now vested in it2.
In accordance with Article 4(4) of the 2002 Order, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has consulted—
- a
district councils and such bodies or persons appearing to it to be representative of the interests of district councils as it may consider appropriate;
- b
such bodies or persons appearing to it to be representative of the interests of the industry, agriculture and business as it may consider appropriate; and
- c
such other bodies or persons as it may consider appropriate.
