The Business Tenancies (Coronavirus) (Restriction on Forfeiture: Relevant Period) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2021
Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Business Tenancies (Coronavirus) (Restriction on Forfeiture: Relevant Period) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 29th March 2021.
(2)
Extension of “relevant period”2.
For the purposes of the definition of the relevant period in section 83(7) of the Coronavirus Act 2020, the relevant period ends on 30th June 2021.
Revocation3.
Sealed with the Official Seal of the Department of Finance on 24th March 2021.
Section 83 of the Coronavirus Act 2020 provides that a right of re-entry or forfeiture, under a relevant business tenancy, for non-payment of rent may not be enforced, by action or otherwise, during the relevant period.
Regulation 2 provides that, further to previous statutory extensions, the relevant period is now extended to 30th June 2021.
Regulation 3 revokes the Business Tenancies (Coronavirus) (Restriction on Forfeiture: Relevant Period) (Northern Ireland) (No. 3) Regulations 2020.
