Coming into operation
The Department for Infrastructure makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 27(5) and 247(1) and (6) of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 20111 and now vested in it2.

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Development Management) (Temporary Modifications) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2021.

Amendment to the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20152.

In the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20153, in paragraph (3) of regulation 5A (temporary relaxation of pre-application community consultation requirements during Coronavirus emergency period)4 for “31st March 2021” substitute “30th September 2021”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the temporary modifications to the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (S.R. 2015 No. 71).

Regulation 2 amends the Planning (Development Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to amend the “emergency period” end date to 30th September 2021.
