The Department of Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8 and 11 of the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation etc.) Act 2019(1), makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This order may be cited as the General Register Office (Fees) Amendment Order (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation on 7th December 2021.
(2) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2) shall apply to this order as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
2.—(1) The General Register Office (Fees) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016(3) is amended as follows:

(3) The fee outlined at Article (2) will be in force until 6th December 2022.

This Order amends the General Register Office (Fees) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 to prescribe the fee under the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Northern Ireland) (No.2) Regulations 2020 relating to the signing of a conversion declaration for the conversion of a civil partnership to a marriage and a marriage to a civil partnership.
