Maternity and Funeral Expenses (General) Regulations</heading><num>2.</num><content><p>In regulation 7(9)(a) of the Social Fund Maternity and Funeral Expenses (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00003" marker="3"><p>S.R. <ref eId="c00005" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/nisr/2005/506">2005 No. 506</ref>; relevant amending Regulations are <ref eId="c00006" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/nisr/2006/178">S.R. 2006 No. 178</ref> and <ref eId="c00007" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2020/1309">S.I. ukl:Name="P"><p>These Regulations make amendments to domestic legislation, specifically the Social Fund Maternity and Funeral Expenses (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 (<ref eId="c00002" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/nisr/2005/506">S.R. 2005 No. 506</ref>) (the “Social Fund Regulations”), to reflect that the United Kingdom is no longer a Member State of the European Union. This is so that persons who fall within regulation 7(10) of the Social Fund Regulations continue to satisfy the condition in regulation 7(9) of those Regulations if the funeral takes place in the United Kingdom.</p></blockContainer></blockContainer></conclusions></act></akomaNtoso>
