This Order brings into force specified provisions of the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019.

Part 1 of the Act makes provision for the establishment of the Historical Institutional Abuse Redress Board; the entitlement to compensation; the determination of compensation; appeals and miscellaneous provisions.

Schedule 1 to the Act makes further provisions in relation to the administration of the Redress Board.
