Rural Needs

The Rural Needs (2016 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (1), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (2) makes the following Order.

Citation and interpretation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Rural Needs (2016 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018.

Appointed day

2.  Insofar as not already in operation, the day appointed for the coming into operation of sections 1 to 4 of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016, as they apply to Public Authorities listed in the Schedule to that Act, is 1st June 2018.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

This Regulations brings into operation sections 1 to 4 of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 for the Public Authorities (other than Northern Ireland departments and district councils) listed in the Schedule to that Act. Sections 1 to 4 of that Act have already been brought into operation for Northern Ireland departments and district councils.

The following provisions of the Rural Needs Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 have been brought into operation by a Commencement Order made before the date of this Order –
