Where the mine operator gives a notice of abandonment, the mine operator shall, within three months of the date on which the mine is abandoned or the tip is closed, send to the Executive, or a body approved by it, an accurate plan of that mine or tip (as the case may be).

Where a plan has been sent to the Executive or a body approved by it under paragraph (1), that plan shall be retained by the Executive or that body in accordance with arrangements approved by the Executive.
