Citation, commencement and interpretation 1 1 This Order may be cited as the Food Hygiene Rating (Fee and Fixed Penalty Amount) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 and comes into operation forthwith. 2 In this Order “the Act” means the Food Hygiene Rating Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 Fee for re-rating 2 An application made to a district council for a review of a food business establishment’s food hygiene rating under section 4 of the Act must be accompanied by a fee of £150.00. Amount of fixed penalty 3 The fixed penalty in respect of an alleged offence under section 10(1) or (2) of the Act is £200.00. This Order prescribes the fee to be charged for a review of a food hygiene rating (a re-rating).

This Order also prescribes the amount of fixed penalty payable under a fixed penalty notice served under section 10 (1) or (2) of the Food Hygiene Rating Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.
