These Regulations amend and modify the Child Support (Collection and Enforcement) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992 (S.R. 1992 No. 390) (“the 1992 Regulations”). They amend the Child Support (Meaning of Child and New Calculation Rules) (Consequential and Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 (S.R. 2012 No. 438) (“the 2012 Regulations”) and the Child Support (Ending Liability in Existing Cases and Transition to New Calculation Rules) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 (S.R. 2014 No. 191) (“the Ending Liability Regulations”). These Regulations also dis-apply the provisions in section 29(4) to (7) of the Child Support Order (Northern Ireland) 1991 (S.I. 1991/2628 (N.I. 23)) in relation to a segment 5 case where liability is ended whilst these Regulations are in operation. A segment 5 case is one within the meaning given in the scheme prepared by the Department under the Ending Liability Regulations (“the Ending Liability Scheme”).
