SCHEDULE 5 N.I. Saving and transitional provisions

PART 2 N.I. The Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 as modified

Interpretation N.I.

2.—(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to these regulations as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

(2) In these regulations—

“the 2011 Act” means the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011;”

“council” means a district council;”

“local advertisement”, in relation to a notice, means—

(a)

by publication of the notice in at least one newspaper circulating in the locality in which the land to which the application or appeal relates is situated; and

(b)

where the Department, council or the Commission maintain a website for the purpose of advertisement of applications, by publication of the notice on the website;
