Coming into operation
The Department of Justice makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 25 and 26 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 19981. Those powers are now vested in the Department2.
In accordance with sections 25(8) and 26(6) of that Act the Department has consulted the Board and the Police Association.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Appeals, Conduct and Unsatisfactory Performance and Attendance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and shall come into operation on 30th November 2015.
Amendment of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (Appeals) Regulations 20002
For the definition of “member” in regulation 3(1) of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (Appeals) Regulations 20003 substitute—
“member” means a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland; or a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve;

For the definition of “member” in regulation 4 of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (Conduct) Regulations 20004 substitute—
“member” means a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland; or a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve;
Amendment of the Police (Unsatisfactory Performance and Attendance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20104
For the definition of “member” in regulation 3(1) of the Police (Unsatisfactory Performance and Attendance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20105 substitute—
“member” means a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland; or a member of the Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve;
