The Charities (2013 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015

The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(2) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 20131.

Citation1.

This Order may be cited as the Charities (2013 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.

Appointed day2.

The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 4 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2013 (educational endowments) is 1st June 2015, except in so far as it relates to applications made to the Department before that date.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into operation section 4 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2013 (which provides for the transfer of functions exercisable by the Department for Social Development in relation to educational endowments to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland) on 1st June 2015, except in so far as it relates to applications made to the Department before that date.
