This Order revises section 46(1) of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 to reflect the changing circumstances of the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland and the organisations that operate within it. Section 46(1) sets out a list of organisations that the Criminal Justice Inspection Northern Ireland (CJINI) has a duty to inspect. This Order updates references to the Health and Social Services Boards and Health and Social Services Trusts, which has become the Health and Social Care Board and Health and Social Care Trusts, and to the Northern Ireland Child Support Agency which has become the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Division to take account of changes to those organisations’ titles (Articles 2(2) and 2(5)); removes a reference to the Compensation Agency and adds a reference to the Central Investigation Service within the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (Article 2(3)); and adds a reference to the Veterinary Service Enforcement Branch within the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (Article 2(4)).
