The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(1) of the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 20091.

Citation and interpretation1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) (2009 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2014.

(2)

In this Order “the 2009 Act” means the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009.

Appointed day2.

1st April 2015 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the 2009 Act listed in the Schedule.

the entry relating to Schedule 12 to the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992

the entry relating to Schedule 6 to the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996

the entries relating to Articles 7, 9 and 12(c) of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1996

the entry relating to Schedule 2 to the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998

the entry relating to Schedule 2 of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 in so far as it has not already been brought into operation

the entry relating to Schedule 12 to the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order provides for the coming into operation of those provisions of the Rates (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 which have not already been brought into operation. They will come into operation on 1st April 2015.
