This Order provides for the coming into operation of section 11 of, and paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Schedule 2 to, the Child Maintenance Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, for the purpose of making of regulations. This Order commences powers to allow the Department to make Regulations to require parties in existing cases to choose whether or not to remain in the statutory scheme under the 2012 rules for calculating child maintenance.
