Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall come into operation on 14th July 2014.

(2) In these Regulations, “the Principal Regulations” means the Smoke Control Areas (Exempted Fireplaces) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013(1).

Amendments to the Principal Regulations

2.  The Schedule to the Principal Regulations shall be amended as follows—

(a)The classes of fireplace specified in column (1) of the Schedule shall be added to column 1 of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations, and the conditions specified in column (2) of the Schedule shall be added to column 2 of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations as corresponding conditions.

(b)In column (1), for “Strebel SRP TR 90, 90kW output pellet boiler manufactured by Strebel Ltd, 1f Albany Park, Camberley, Surrey, GU16 7PB.”, substitute “Strebel SRP TR 90, 90kW output pellet boiler manufactured by: FIRE FOX, Bioheizsysteme GmbH, Eisenstraße 54, 9330, Althofen 1, Austria.”
