The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(3) of the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2012(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Pensions (2012 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013.
(2) In this Order any reference to a numbered section or Schedule is to the section of, or Schedule to, the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2012 bearing that number.
2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of—
(a)section 22 (Pension Protection Fund) in so far as it is not already in operation, and
(b)in Schedule 4 (Pension Protection Fund)—
(i)paragraph 1 in so far as it is not already in operation;
(ii)paragraphs 21 to 28 (postponement of compensation), and
(iii)paragraphs 29 to 36 (pension compensation sharing: postponement of compensation),
is 27th March 2013.

This Order brings into operation section 22 of, and Schedule 4 to, the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2012, in so far as they are not already in operation, on 27th March 2013. Those provisions relate to the postponement of compensation from the Pension Protection Fund.
