The Department for Social Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 34A (2) and (3) of the Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 19961 and now vested in it2:

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Clubs (Notice relating to Age) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st May 2012.

Form and dimensions of Notice2.

A notice under Article 34A of The Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 must—

(a)

contain the information specified in the Schedule; and

(b)

be contained in a document the dimensions of which are no less than 297mm in length and 210mm in width.

SCHEDULENOTICE RELATING TO AGE

Regulation 2

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations prescribe the notice relating to age that registered clubs must display in those areas of club premises where intoxicating liquor is supplied; the information to be contained in the notice in relation to offences concerning the supply to, obtaining or consumption of intoxicating liquor by persons under 18 years of age; and the list of acceptable proof-of-age documents where there is doubt as to whether a person is aged 18 years or over.
