The Licensing (Form of Licence) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012

Coming into operation
The Department for Social Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by Article 33 of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 19961 and now vested in it2.

Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Form of Licence) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st May 2012.

Amendment of the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations2.

Part VIII of the Schedule to the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19973 (Disqualification of Premises) shall be omitted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Licensing (Form of Licence) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 as courts may no longer make an order disqualifying additional permitted hours or an extension licence, granted to certain premises, as an alternative to suspending the intoxicating liquor licence.
