Coming into operation -
The Department for Regional Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 4(4) of the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 20051:
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 4th July 2012.
Amendment2.
In regulation 2 of The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 2 (penalty charges) for “£60” substitute “£90.00”.

These Regulations amend The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 by increasing the penalty charges for road traffic offences subject to civil enforcement from £60.00 to £90.00.
